Few yoga instructors can say they found enlightenment in an Ecuadorian jungle, but few yogis are like Didier!
As one of the busiest yoga instructors in town, Didier has as little time as any working person to focus on himself. Still, he carves out the time for daily self-care, because he understands the crucial link between mental health and physical health and, of course, physical health is everything to a fitness instructor.
When it comes to self-care, Didier is committed to spending at least 20 silent, tech-free minutes to himself every day. When he’s had an especially busy day, he practices Yoga Nidra and focuses on his breathing for at least 10 minutes, but he says that finding 20 minutes is critical to an optimal wind down from a busy day.
He’s fortunate that the practice of Yoga is inherently a healing one so he gets to pack in the pursuit of quieting his own mind every day, but Didier’s gift is truly in helping others to learn to quiet their minds too.
Didier believes that in this age of stress and anxiety, everyone is searching for peace and happiness in their lives, and he believes that anyone can find reduce their stress and find peace simply by practicing yoga.
