The male brain has some differences to its female counterparts and as part of Men’s Mental Health Month/Movember, we’d like to invite you into the studio to discuss this topic and explore ways that we can nurture our boys through both mindfulness and our approach to parenting our sons.
This session intends to help build understanding, empathy and compassion for our boys and provide the space for you to reflect, collectively with other like-minded parents on your own relationship with your son(s).
In a world where the media often depicts men to be the ’strong and silent type,’ with the pressure for boys to develop into those strong and capable men, this talk explores how we can arm them with the emotional literacy to support them to identify and communicate their struggles as well as some simple mindfulness-based tools that they can use to help them through life’s challenges.
Nicola is a mindfulness mentor here at Bodytree as well as a parent and educator. She has been working with children for over 16 years and more recently learning about their brain development and bringing that into her practices.
