Yoga Essentials is a series of three, two hour workshops designed for anyone who has never practised yoga before and is unsure of where to start or those practitioners teaching special populations such as seniors, those with spine problems, and those with injuries to the knees and hips.
This workshop will give you the tools you need to develop a safe and healthy yoga practice and feel more confident about attending more advanced yoga classes. The series can also add great value to yoga teachers who want to strengthen the foundations of teaching all clients in a safe way.
We will explore the blocked points within the joints and muscles, as well as the mobility, strengthening, and flexibility of the spine and muscles. We will work on increased respiratory capacity, self-adjusting joints in asana practice, and correct posture and alignment during yoga practice. Finally, we will delve into stress management through yoga and the art of relaxation.
