This “high” is carried into the subsequent stages of soft gazing, soft and spontaneous movement, and silent stillness.

    Asana, one of the eight limbs of yoga, focuses on the physical aspect of control and release. It is a movement meditation, that prepares the body for further connection of the other limbs. In these sessions we will deconstruct themes of movement throughout the movement system on yoga asana.

    This is a three week asana series to focus on the nuances of each pose from the ground up. Learn how to build, hold and transform each week with a different pose that can be used to deepen your practice.

    Yoga Nidra or Psychic sleep is a practice to attain deep relaxation with inner awareness. Consequently one can develop memory, knowledge and creativity. It also supports change of nature from within.

    Yoga Nidra promotes deep rest and relaxation through systematic meditation. While you rest comfortably on your back on the floor in savasana (corpse pose) or seated, the meditation takes you through a set sequence, leaving you with a sense of wholeness.

  • Pre Natal Partner Yoga with Lenka 9am-11am

    This course helps you prepare for your baby’s birth, by teaching you ways to find comfort during your labour with your partner. You will learn simple partner poses, breathing techniques and vocalizing to prepare for birth. Come to stretch, release stress and breathe with your partner.
    The class is lead by Lenka Dalby, Pre-natal yoga teacher.
    Recommended for all couples and expecting mothers with their birthing partners, who are preparing for natural birth. No prior yoga experience needed.

    In this three-hour workshop we will restore, recover and recuperate our essence that is lost, depleted or buried in stress. Today many of us suffer from unstable and inconsistent energy that is consistently changing, creating flux in our lives, depleting the mind of pure oxygenated breath and blood; causing the sympathetic nervous system to be in a constant state of “fight or flight”.
    Through this gentle practice honoring the breath, cleansing the blood, rejuvenating the spirit and regenerating the soul whilst opening the heart to love and peace, we can return to equilibrium through our parasympathetic nervous system and go into “rest and digest” which is our natural birth right and state.

    This interactive and hands on workshop is designed to provide expectant parents with all the necessary information to make an informed decision about babywearing.

    The workshop will cover:

    • Introduction to babywearing and ergonomic baby carriers.
    • The benefits of baby wearing.
    • The stages of the baby’s development and how these correspond to different positions (front, hip and back) and at what stage each position is safe and can be introduced.
    • How to successfully breastfeed in your carrier.
    • Demonstration of different carrier styles: wraps, soft structure carriers, ring slings, mei dai.
    • Time to choose your carrier based on your needs: hands on trying our carriers with dolls or your baby.

    Vinyasa flow yoga session incorporating hard work and soft relaxation, sweating out impurities of the body and creating pure motivation in the mind, creating both strength of will and kindness in the heart. Let the opposing forces of yin and yang in this “ha” (sun, masculine, activity) and “tha” (moon, feminine, receptivity) yoga flow remove attachment and desire (rajas) as well as anger and fatigue (tamas), leaving you with balance and bliss (sattvic). Be prepared to be both challenged and to find complete surrender. Not suitable for complete beginners.

We will cover the early hours and days, so you are able to make care choices from as early as birth and make sure you are confident and ready to care for your newborn at home, with ways to make it as calm and enjoyable as possible. Course Outline Birth – the importance of early contact with parents, ways to make this easier. Newborn in Hospital– which procedures, tests and vaccines are offered and what they mean. Breastfeeding – How the breastfeeding relationship works, ways to ensure a good start, positioning and optimum latch, how to know breastfeeding is going well, troubleshooting if things are becoming difficult. The fourth Trimester -Transition from the Womb – expectations of your new-born’s behaviour, what ‘Sleeping like a baby’ really looks like, ways to calm and soothe your little one. Care of your Newborn – Skin care, nappy changing, bathing, swaddling, safe sleeping Care of the Postnatal relationship – changes and challenges which couples commonly encounter – including lack of sleep! – and ways to cope with the transition to Parenthood Course led by Sarah Smith, an experienced UK Midwife, Childbirth Educator, Lactation Support and Baby Massage instructor.

    This is a Winter Workshop honouring the Water element of the Kidneys and Urinary Bladder.
    Winter teaches us that the only way to fully enjoy the powers of the season is to surrender to it and learn from what it has to offer us. In winter the earth lies fallow; nature appears frozen and dead. Water is the most yin of all the five elements and is the essence of all life itself. Water makes it possible for all of the other elements to function correctly and is the first place to check when the body is chronically out of balance. It is a substance whose primary function is to deeply nourish and cleanse the body in a variety of ways. In winter it requires rest and this rest replenishes itself through its association to the Kidneys and Urinary Bladder; brain, reproductive systems and our life essence.

    Baby signing is using simple signs and gestures with pre-verbal children, helping them to understand and to communicate before they can talk.
    Why should I do signing with my baby?
    Most of us have been in a situation in a foreign country where we didn’t speak the language and found it really difficult and frustrating to communicate. The same is true for babies when they can only cry or point to tell us things they want. Signing gives them a way of communicating how they are feeling and what they want without the crying!
